Scarlet Nights by Jude Deveraux

Scarlet Nights   is the third book in the Edilean Series. Edilean is a small town in Virginia where everyone knows everyone. Sara Shaw is engaged to marry Greg Anders who is a very shady character. Everyone including Sara’s friends and family try to persuade her to break off the engagement. Then all of the sudden he disappears. Sara has not seen or heard from him despite her calls. Enter Mike Newland into the picture a detective who has ties to the Edilean area. He is involved with the case involving Greg Anders and is sent there to protect Sara. Mike has it arranged that Sara is to use her friend Tess’s apartment that has a secret compartment. She meets Mike and starts to get involved with the case. 

I liked this book and would go back and read the other two books of the series. I have never read any books by Jude Deveraux. I enjoyed this book! I couldn’t wait to see how it ended. You might want to read the book to figure out what exactly Scarlet Nights is?
