Playing The Game by Barbara Taylor Bradford
Barbara Taylor
Bradford is one of my favorite authors. I was so excited to get her new novel.
This novel tells the
story of Annette and Marius Remmington both are successful in their careers.
Marius runs a gallery of his own and helps support Annette in her business. She
is an art consultant and her client Christopher Delaware has asked her to help
auction of his late uncle’s art collection. Marius wants to promote her success
by asking Jack Chalmers to write articles on Annette and her business. Their
relationship becomes more than professional. As Jack becomes part of Annette’s
life and finds them both involved in a mystery that affects both of their
pasts.
I didn’t realize what Playing the game was
actually about until being over halfway through it. The game had nothing to do
with Art or careers. The game was more concerned with how to control and
manipulate people. I didn’t enjoy this book as much as her others.
