in December to commemorate the year.   So what are my thoughts so far on this year?   Without further ado:                                                                                                                                                        This is a mini challenge over at Dewey Readathon.   I usually share something like this in April.                                                Best Book of Your Reading Year Summer Girls by Mary Alice Monroe:   This book is a page turner.   I couldn’t wait to find out what would happen next.   I also loved the subject of the Bottlenose dolphin. Best Romance Book of Your Reading Year Shadowed by Grace by Cara Putnam This novel follows the work of the Monuments Men but had a great plot.   Very historically accurate this made the characters even better. Best New Adult Book of Your Reading Year How about a debut novel by Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke?   Your Perfect Life is their third novel. The story i

How Can Texts Change Your Life?

Mad About You by Sinead Moriarty is her latest novel.   Thank you to Netgalley for the review copy.    I look forward to sharing this new novel with you! Synopsis: Emma Hamilton, a mother of two and make-up artist gives up the only life she has ever known in Dublin, and moves to London in support of her husband, Jame’s career as a rugby coach.     She is left without her usual support system.   She finds herself floundering a bit, until she makes friends with the neighbors.   She gets herself a new job in the London area.   The peace in Emma’s life is short lived as her husband continues to work later and later hours. Emma and James are soon inundated with texts of a very personal nature.   How well does she really know James?   Can their relationship survive? My Thoughts:   I really enjoyed my first book by Moriarty and I am looking forward to reading all of her past books (once they release them in the USA).    This book was well written and read super-fast.

Michele Gorman Shares Her Upcoming Release!

In June my next book, The Curvy Girls Club, will be released in the US and Canada, and I’m very excited about it! Having spent six months imagining The Curvy Girls Club when I was writing the book, I couldn’t shake the idea that this kind of club should exist all around the world. So I’ve created the real Curvy Girls Club, and it’s an initiative that’s very close to my heart. So if you can, please post about the club to encourage as many women as possible to feel great about themselves. Because we can all use a little encouragement, right? Imagine a place where nobody is judged by the size of their waistband, where you’re reminded every day how fabulous you are. That’s exactly what Michele Gorman did when she wrote THE CURVY GIRLS CLUB, and she had so much fun in that imaginary world that she’s creating the real thing!   Welcome to The Curvy Girls Club – a friendly, supportive, encouraging community where everyone is welcome, a fun place for people who want to love the

What Could Be the Worst Seat in the House?

Most Americans are familiar with the fact that on April 14 th 1865, one of the most famous and beloved president of our time, Abraham Lincoln, was shot in his box at Ford Theatre.   What many people don’t remember is that President and Mrs. Lincoln were entertaining an engaged couple in their theatre box; Clara Harris & Henry Rathbone.    Not only did Rathbone witness one of the greatest American tragedies, but he was also stabbed by Lincoln’s murder, John Wilkes Booth.    This book tells Henry’s story and what it was like carry the burden of not being able save the President of the United States.   More than 10 years later, Henry becomes consumed by madness and commits an act that is eerily similar to what happened on the night of April 14 th .   My Thoughts I thought this book had a great concept.   Personally, I was unaware that the Lincoln’s shared their box with another couple.    The author raises many great points, such as in today’s world of social media.
