Janice Cantore is a Christian writer who shares stories that involve her experiences in the police force in Long Beach, California. She continues to write to this day.  The story that I am interested in sharing is from her novel Visible Threat.   This story is told from multiple points of view.  About the Novel:  “Officer Brinna Caruso wants perfection―perfect justice and a perfect world. She wants to save and protect all the innocents in the world, no matter the cost. Orphaned and struggling to get by, Ivana and her sister left Bulgaria for America with dreams of a better life. But since they arrived in Long Beach, everything they were promised has turned out to be a lie. After a dead girl is found in the river with a mysterious tattoo on her hip, homicide detective Jack O’Reilly asks for Brinna’s help. Unaware of the depths of evil that will be uncovered, Brinna finds herself flung into a dangerous frontier―an organized human trafficking ring.” My Thoughts:...

A Visit With Family Can Become So Much More

I met Lisa Wingate a couple of years ago when she stopped by FoxTale Book Shoppe on tour for The StoryKeeper.   I loved Before We Were Yours and could not wait to dive into this one.    Will this be one to check out at the beach? Synopsis:   Successful New York editor, Jen Gibbs, is at the top of her game with her new position at Vida House Publishing -- until a mysterious manuscript from an old slush pile appears on her desk. Turning the pages, Jen finds herself drawn into the life of Sarra, a mixed-race Melungeon girl trapped by dangerous men in the turn of the century Appalachia. A risky hunch may lead to The Story Keeper 's hidden origins and its unknown author, but when the trail turns toward the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, a place Jen thought she'd left behind forever, the price of a blockbuster next book deal may be higher than she's willing to pay. (amazon) My Thoughts:   I enjoyed the story of The Storykeeper.   ...

I absolutely devoured her book I WAS BLIND (Dating), BUT NOWI SEE. I received this book from Tyndale.  I received no financial compensation for this post. Today Stephanie Rische is visiting Writer’s Corner.  I recently devoured her book I WAS BLIND (Dating) BUT NOW I SEE.   I feel her message speaks volumes to singles who are on this journey. Synopsis:  Stephanie shares her journey looking seeking the man of her dreams.  She uses stones to mark her path to Mr. Right.  The journey may have taken longer than she thought but it was worth it in the end.  She also shares what God taught her along the way in the journey.  How seeking God’s path is not easy but can be fulfilling at times.  How to stay the course when life takes turns you would not have otherwise chosen.  What can the reader learn from these experiences? What five aspects of Stephanie Rische should readers know? 1.” When I was a kid, my best friend...
