Thank you to Goodreads and Penguin for give me a copy of Secrets of a Charmed Life by Susan Meissner.   I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.   It was also a Goodreads First Read book. Imagine that you were separated from your sister and you might never see her again.   What questions might you have? It is a different kind of story. It is one full of gossip, blogging, and the secrets of a small town. When I was a young girl I remember watching the movie of the week on the major networks.  This movie would have an all-star cast much like the Marvel movies, but on the smaller screen.  When I read this novel it had the same feel.  So who would I cast in these roles? This copy was given in exchange for an honest review.  She is a new author for me.  I have become a recent fan of her work.  It is a short story that is a prequel to her to two of her other novels Silver Boat and Little Night . Synopsis: Paul and Clare meet one day in a park. She has found a bird that fell from a nest.  Paul offers to help and save it.  So begins a long friendship. Will the friendship become more? What could separate them?  Rory and Harrison have had an on and off again relationship.   Why is it important that he stay connected with Rory?  Will she learn to appreciate him or let him go?  How are the two sisters so different but yet the same? My Thoughts: I liked this short story.  It is actually two stories in one.  This novel contains an interesting story.  The writing style keeps the reader interested in finding out more...

Would You Like to See the Infinite Sea?

Beatriz Williams continues the story of the Schuyler sisters in her latest novel Along the Infinite Sea .  We will also see another character from a previous novel A Hundred Summers Nick Greenwald will come back for a visit as well.  I always think of Beatriz’s novels as being engrossing.  Synopsis:  Pepper Schuyler with has restored a mercedes and she means to sell it. You see Pepper is in a delicate situation.  She got in trouble in with her job in Washington.  She needs a little cash to help her out of the sticky situation.  What about the history of the car?  The buyer Annabelle Dommerich pays handsomely to get the car back in her possession.    She also takes an interest in   Pepper.  How will Annabelle’s story help Pepper in her current situation?   What will be Pepper’s  solution? My Thoughts:  I enjoyed reading Beatriz’s latest novel.  I am looking forward to her next...

Can You Identify the Six Different Kinds of Love?

I can’t identify all the different kinds of love.  I can identify a few.  I am not blessed with the gift that Jane Williams has.  Sarah Jio in her most recent novel The Look of Love tells her story. Synopsis:  Ever since Jane was little she has seen a neurologist because of a condition which causes her to go blind temporarily. It is supposed to be a special gift that she received from a woman named Collette when she was a baby. Years later after the death of her mother she runs her mother’s flower shop.  Through her work Jane sees many different types of love and can often play confidante to those who enter the shop. Collette has said she must identify the six different kinds of love in this year or she may not find true love.  Can Jane do this and assist her friends?  Or is she doomed to spend the rest of her life single? My Thoughts:  Like always I enjoy any of Sarah Jio’s novels.  I found this one different than the rest...
