I know many times reminiscing about   the past and my choices or   how I could have made betters.   Choices often affect people around us in various ways.   Circumstances can also be a factor.   In All We Ever Wanted by Emily Giffin, the choices of her characters take center stage when an inappropriate photo is found on someone’s phone.   What will the consequences of those choices be? Happy New Year!  My apologies for being a little behind this month!  I thought that I would share the top novels at Writer’s Corner in 2016. Once again these novels may or may not have been published in the previous year. Drum roll please…The novels are:  The first novel is Juliet by Anne Fortier Julie and Janice Jacobs are going home to deal with the death of their Aunt Rose. Another highlighted novel from this summer is Emily Giffin’s First Comes Love.   She is famous for getting to the heart of the matter, in her writing.  Will it be beach worthy? Synopsis: Daniel leaves to go get a burger during the Christmas holiday, and never comes back.  He dies in a car accident.  Daniel’s family buries him but is forever changed.  Their parents’ have divorced.  Meredith the younger sister marries her brother’s best friend.  Is it a happy marriage?  Or is she left yearning for more?  Then her older sister Josie has just wanted to meet the perfect guy and form a family.  She is 38 years old and the biological clock is ticking.  She is still single.  So Josie decides to go ahead and have her child without getting married. It is always a delight to run into Emily Giffin each year she has a new novel come out.   This year with The One and Only she has a new publisher Random House and a different direction in her writing.   I am always excited to read or listen to her novel and can’t wait to share this one! Synopsis: Shea has grown up with Walker Football and Coach Carr and his family.   Her best friend is Lucy Carr.   Shea is a Sports Information assistant at Walker.   It keeps her close to her first love Walker football.   After the death of Connie Carr the coach’s wife circumstances begin to change between Shea and Coach Carr.     He encourages her to take a job with the Dallas Post and gets to date the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys Ryan James.   Is this truly enough?   Shea finds that her thoughts often turning to the coach.   While dating Ryan a tragedy occurs that shakes Shea’s foundation to the core.   Will she b...
