It has been a while but the Chicklitplus blog tour is back on Writer’s Corner.   Today we bring you Elly In Bloom by Colleen Oakes. Synopsis: Elly leaves Atlanta in a blur after she found her husband in bed with his mistress.   Her goal is to drive and not to stop.   Something draws Elly to stop at a coffee shop in Clayton Missouri where she meets Kim.   Her new friend helps start over.   Elly’s new business is a flower shop which is renowned for helping with weddings.   What will her future hold?   Will she finally get past her ex-husband?   My Thoughts: Colleen Oakes is a new author for me.   I did enjoy the story very much.   There were spots where it lagged for me.    I did enjoy learning about flowers and how they are arranged in for weddings.    I also loved that the setting is in St. Louis Missouri.   Clayton is a suburb in that city.   It is known for being a more well to do area. Welcome to the Authors in Bloom Hop!   I am excited to host and be part of this year.    The hop runs from April 10 th to   the 20 th .   We will have an exciting giveaway here.   This giveaway will be open to US Residents only .   I am also going to share a recipe here. The recipe I am sharing is one from my childhood and a favorite.   The recipe is for Lemon Torte: There are four layers:   First layer is :    One stick butter melted, l cup flour, and ¼ cup chopped pecans.   Bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees, and let cool completely .You can also avoid this step by using a gramcracker crust. Second layer:   Blend eight ounce package of cream cheese, one cup powdered sugar and one cup cool whip.   Third layer:   Fix two packages of instant lemon pudding mix and only use 3 ½ cups of milk.   Once the pudding has set then add to the pan with the rest of the layers.   The final layer is   cool whip on top.
