Driftwood Cottage by Sherryl Woods

Thank you to Regina and chicklitclub.com for the opportunity to review this series. I had not ever read anything by Sherryl Woods. I very much enjoyed this first book in the series

Synopsis:

Heather and her son little Mick left Baltimore to move back to Chesapeake Shore with the support of Connor O’Brien’s family. She leaves Connor because he refuses to marry her and hopes to start over in Chesapeake Shores, and open a quilting shop. She hopes she will be able to move on from her relationship with Connor. He is a lawyer in Baltimore who handles divorces which only reaffirms how he feels about marriage. That it will never last and only end in heartache. Connor visits Chesapeake Shore to see his child little Mick and hope that he can win back Heather and continue to live as they have. One day Heather is in a car accident which causes Connor to rethink his views on marriage. After the accident when Connor takes her out of the apartment they find Driftwood cottage. Heather has her heart set on renovating the house. Will Connor change his mind and marry Heather? Will Heather be able to see Connor’s change of heart? I am becoming a fan of Sherryl Woods. I enjoyed this heartfelt story about the continuing saga of the O’Brien family.

My thoughts:

I found this book easy to read. I was a little disappointed that this book fell in the middle of the series. I will have to go back and review the others in the series, and it is worth it go read these others. The main theme of this book was about how the divorce of Connor’s parents and how that affected him in being able to make future choices in relationships. Heather is similar with growing up in a home that her parents were always fighting. I thought it was interesting how Sherryl Woods wove these relationships together. I feel that you will enjoy this book.
