Come Visit Scotland by Starlight by Nancy Volkers



The Chicklitplus Blog Tour is making another stop at Writer’s Corner.  Nancy Volkers is sharing her new book Scotland by Starlight a sequel to The Scottish Fairy Tale.   Who believes in fairy tales?

Synopsis:
Cassie is moving to Scotland to live with her boyfriend Ralph McNair.  She is seeking some permanence to their relationship.  Cassie is gradually able to cultivate a life with Ralph, but can she let go of her independence and depend on Ralph?   Cassie surprises herself when she decides to let go and experience life in Scotland with Ralph’s family and her new friends.  She proposes to Ralph this time around and now it is time to plan the wedding.

My Thoughts:
Who doesn’t like a fairytale that includes a princess and a prince?  I loved the story of Ralph and Cassie.   The kind of love shared between the both of them is a rare kind of love.    I loved the growth in the characters and how lively and memorable they are.  The author researched the Scottish culture well and represented those characters well. My only warning is beware of the Scottish language.    Some Scottish language is used in the book.  This book is a very enjoyable read and I will highly recommend to anyone.  I look forward to my next Nancy Volkers novel.
