Mary Kay Provides Lots of Laughs with Hissy Fit
Another bookclub selection by Chick Lit and Other Fiction. This book is my first Mary Kay Andrews book.
Synopsis:
The setting is Madison Georgia.
Here comes the story of Keeley Murdock and the shock she experiences at the
rehearsal dinner the night before her wedding. The shock is enough to cause a
huge hissy fit which Keeley takes out on her fiancée in front of most of the
town. She gains a client the next day for her interior design business while
she finds her business shunned by the rest of the town. The only business comes
from this client she met after leaving the party that night. Will gives her
the task to have his home ready by Christmas. The other main story of the
book is the mystery of what happened to Keeley's mother. Her
investigation teaches a great deal about the people of Madison Georgia and the past.
My Thoughts:
This
book is a great read. I really enjoyed the book and found I could hardly put it
down. Mary Kay Andrews wrote a great story. I couldn't anything really that was a let down.
Madison is a small town in Georgia where everyone knows everyone in town. The setting was a main part of this story. Ms. Andrews pulled from the culture and setting the atmosphere of the book. I actually truly want to visit this town.
