Image
Today I am going to present another new to me author, for the first time on Writer’s Corner. Amy E. Reichert will be visiting with her book The Simplicity of Cider . She is known for writing foodie fiction. I have not read much in this genre. Who does not love a story centered around food? This secret has changed her life in more ways than one. Sanna refers to her mother as the donor because she has no relationship with her. It is awfully lonely at the Orchard, until Isaac and his son show up to help. Her work with apple cider is very fulfilling! If they only had a buyer for all that merchandise? When an offer is made to sell the orchar...

Have You Heard of The Alice Network?

Image
Thank you to Harper Collins for a copy of The Alice Network . I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. I received no financial compensation for this review. Could a spy ring that was made up of women succeed at all? Synopsis: Charlie has a problem her mother brought her to Europe to take care of it. Charlie has another agenda to find her cousin Rose. Her family has already investigated, but was unable to find anything. Charlie has a name of someone who can help. Eve Gardiner worked in the government of Great Britain during both World Wars. Eve had a very specific job that coincides with Charlie’s search. Once Eve is compelled to help, Charlie and Finn (Eve’s employee) leave for France. Eve might obtain closure after all these years with what happened during World War I. Will Eve find...

In the Spotlight: A Brush with the Beast by Richard Sones

Image
A Brush with the Beast , by Richard Sones, is an action-packed Christian Fiction novel. We are excited to  share an excerpt from this  book.  “Good morning, Mr. D.” chirped Gail. She was always happy, unnaturally happy. She was happy when no one was supposed to be happy. Nick didn’t like that about her, but she was the best secretary he had ever had. He groaned in response to her cheerful greeting and disappeared into his office. “It can’t be all that bad,” he heard her holler after the door had been shut. Only fifteen quiet minutes had elapsed when a light tapping emanated from the door. “Sir, would you like a cup of coffee?” “She must be on something,” Nick thought when he heard her. “Sure, Gail, come in.” The door opened and the cheerful secretary came in using both hands to carry saucer and cup. She wore an off white dress that hung past her knees. Her silver hair was colored dishwater blond, but not so anyone could tell. It reached her shoulders in gentl...
