My Thoughts:
When I started reading No Kidding, I quickly learned this is one novel that doesn’t relate to me. To start, it focuses an important theme on one’s journey towards motherhood. Ms. Wittman does an outstanding job portraying this journey. Her writing is well-received for a debut novel. The story keeps you entertained from beginning to end. She writes characters that are realistic for readers to relate and fight for. The relationship between Kate and her Mother is a complex one. Since her mother acts like a child, especially when the two of them are in the same Hospital! It was a bit hard to read when Kate was learning to breast feed her baby is three pounds, three ounces. The chapters are not long, which made the book a quick read.
The message of this novel is God’s plan is not mans and is full of twists and turns!
Rating: 5/5
