Andie and Gunnar’s Playlist by Cindy Dorminy

My current book In A Jam includes the characters of Andie and Gunnar. I thought it might be fun to see what music would be appropriate for Andie and Gunnar. So, sit back and crank up the tunes.

Synopsis of In A Jam

Andie’s Playlist

Andie is a fun-loving girl from Boston, and enjoys partying every night. However, her grandmother has other ideas. She leaves her entire lottery winnings to Andie with strict conditions: 1.Move to the sleepy southern town in Georgia to run Granny’s coffee / jam shop for a month. 2. Enter a jam contest. 3. Sober up. 4. Go to church (yikes) and 4. Fit in.  The fittin’ in may be the hardest. Or, maybe not.

Of course, since she was living in Boston at the beginning of the story, she would play homage to the hometown boys!

One of my favorite bands growing up and it would be Andie’s theme song!

Well…. I think this says it all!

For Andie, money is about to grow on trees and there still is no rest for the wicked.

After Andie realizes her choice, she has to decide to be an optimist about her new life and it feels pretty darn good.

Gunnar’s playlist

Officer Gunnar Wills is on a sabbatical from all females after he was burned by his ex. But when a Boston police officer asks if he will watch after Andie while she’s in Smithville, he has no choice to but to stick close to the cutie that breezed into town. It doesn’t take long before his desires to see his town revitalized and his feelings toward Andie to become mingled. It’s going to be a sticky mess trying to figure out if his feelings are only for the good of the town or if they go deeper than that.

At the beginning of the story, Gunnar has been burned big time by his ex. I imagine he would think this about that situation.

Gunnar’s feelings change pretty darn quickly.

It doesn’t take long for Gunnar to realize Andie isn’t like Willow.
