What Would You Put on Your Life List?
Thank you to
Librarything and Random House for sending me two copies of The LifeList by Lori Nelson Spielman. I have two copies to giveaway.
Synopsis:
Brett is
mourning the death of her mother, her boss, and confidante. She barely makes it through the funeral. The
reading of the will is the following day.
Brett sees herself as the new president of Bohlinger Cosmetics which her
mother founded. When the will is
actually read Brett does not get the job but gets something else instead. A Life List that she wrote when she was fourteen
years old with goals. These goals must be
completed in order to get her inheritance.
Will Brett follow through? How
will her life change because of these goals?
My Thoughts:
An interesting
story by author Lori Nelson Spielman.
Half the fun when covering a topic such as this is what ends up
being on the Life List. Is there any
outlandish goals? Or are they simple and easy to complete? The author does a great job of creating
complexity in the plot to keep reader guessing.
Will Brett be able to complete the task or not?
The only part
that wasn’t my favorite is the fact that I read a novel like this before. In other words the plot is not new to me. The descriptions and the tone of this story
create a setting that you are ready imagine yourself part of.
The novel is
still a good read and worth picking up!
Rating:
4/5

one goal that you would include on your life list?
I am not
responsible for packages that maybe lost in the mail.
One goal would be to go back to school to student teach in order to get a teaching certification! Which I might do once my daughter is in school full time. :)
