Are You Ready for Read For Pink?

The past three years I have learned of a program that Penguin has offered titled Read For Pink.  Last year I found the website and decided that we at Writer’s Corner would share the special novels that are featured.  I have included a list below.  Some of these novels will be featured this month here.   This is the fourth year of the program for Penguin and they have donated $25,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.  The plan is to donate the same amount this year.

Here are some important facts from Erin Galloway at Penguin:
- “Our Read Pink titles go on sales September 24, 2013 and are listed below.
- Each of the books will have Read Pink seals on the cover.
- Information about The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® (BCRF) will be printed in the back of each book, letting the reader know where they can learn more about BCRF and their efforts to fight breast cancer.”

Penguin’s donation is not tied to sales of these books.  The donation will be provided regardless of sales to BCRF.

Here is a little about the company Penguin Group (USA): “Is one of the leading U.S. adult and children’s trade book publishers, owning a wide range of imprints and trademarks, including Viking, G. P. Putnam’s Sons, The Penguin Press, Riverhead Books, Dutton, Penguin Books, Berkley Books, Gotham Books, Portfolio, New American Library, Plume, Tarcher, Philomel, Grosset & Dunlap, Puffin, and Frederick Warne, among others. The Penguin Group (www.penguin.com) is a Penguin Random House company.  Read Pink® is a registered trademark and service mark of Penguin Group (USA) LLC.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation is responsible for many important discoveries in the fight against breast cancer.  It is important to continue to support the fight.
