JeschkeI met Melanie Jeschke a few years ago when I was in college.  I befriended her daughter in college where I met her mother.  At the time I didn’t know that Melanie wrote novels.  I recently saw her novels in a bookstore.   I asked her if she would mind sharing one of them with us.  Melanie has graciously given me a copy of Inklings to giveaway.  See details below for how to win a copy.

Synopsis:

Kate and Connie leave William and Mary to go to Oxford to study.  They are both excited for new adventures.  They settle into their studies and join the Inklings society which pays tribute to C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien.  The Leader of the Inklings is David McKenzie a local Don who studied under Lewis.  He and his friend Austen lead the Inklings at Oxford.   David is also a tutor for Kate in her studies at Oxford.   The two bond quickly and David attempts to help Kate feel welcome in the country.  His family adopts her as one of their own.  Kate is also pursued by Lord Deveraux who charms her with the wealth of England.  Who will Kate choose?

My Thoughts:

Product DetailsThis book takes you on the journey through Oxford.  I also learned much about C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien.  I found it interesting to read about how Oxford structures its studies compared to the American Education system.    The book is a fun read and one the reader will enjoy.

Welcome to Christmas 2017!
