Thank you to St. Martin’s Press for giving me a copy of the Lost Season of Love and Snow by Jennifer Laam.   I was given this copy in exchange for an honest review. How many of you have read Jennifer Laam before or are familiar with Russian history?   This is my first time reading one of Jennifer’s books.   I found Russian history fascinating.   When one can take a look back and understand what the Russian society was like back in the early nineteenth century.   She tells the story of Lady Pushkina the great wife of the famous Poet Alexander Pushkin.    What is her story? Like many people, writing a novel was on my bucket list. But, daily responsibilities left no time for the luxury of writing. In 1995, the tragic death of a co-worker inspired me to do something audacious. The most audacious thing I could imagine was to write that novel. So, I slid a floppy disk into my clunky computer and became the marionette master of a story about being abandoned when I was pregnant. Thank you to Book Trib for a copy of Love Story by Karen Kingsbury.  She  is a new author to me, but also familiar to many who read her religiously.   My grandma is a huge fan of her writing and gets every novel of hers from the library.   Love Story shares the story of two couples John and Elizabeth Baxter and Andi Ellison and Cody Coleman.   It is a story of new beginnings for one and an origins story for the other. Kristin Hannah took us to France with the Nightingale and now she takes us to Alaska.  I have followed Kristin for years in her writing career.  I knew she was writing a story set in Alaska and had also thrown out her manuscript and started over.   Was it worth the risk?
