 Georgia has many small islands located off the east coast of the state.  Cumberland Island is different from others because of the land use. Kimberly Brock creates a story that shows the history of the island and how that impacts the characters years later.  A request is made, and a journey begins.

My Thoughts: 

I did this book as an audiobook and got my favorite audiobook narrator.  I am a huge fan of Cassandra Campbell.  I am a fan of the author Kimberly Brock.  The story is a sweeping historical novel.  It is a coming-of-age story for the character Frances, who comes to visit a small town near Cumberland Island. The story also has a mystery, addressing what happened in 1932.  How does this impact the future?  I found the story enjoyable and look forward to more from Kimberly Brock in the future.
