Welcome Back Abby and Mitch!

I was a big fan of John Grisham when his books first came out.  I read the Firm more than once.  I also wrote a paper in school about how the book was better than the movie.  I had stepped away from John Grisham in recent years and was pleasantly surprised to find a sequel to The Firm, The Exchange.  Now it is time to catch up with Abby and Mitch for another adventure.

About the Book:

“What became of Mitch and Abby McDeere after they exposed the crimes of Memphis law firm Bendini, Lambert & Locke and fled the country? The answer is found in The Exchange, the riveting sequel to The Firm, the blockbuster thriller that launched the career of America’s favorite storyteller.

It is now fifteen years later, and Mitch and Abby are living in Manhattan, where Mitch is a partner at the largest law firm in the world. When a mentor in Rome asks him for a favor that will take him as far as Istanbul and Tripoli, Mitch finds himself at the center of a sinister plot that has worldwide implications. Once again Mitch’s colleagues, friends, and family are targeted. Mitch is a master at staying one staying one step ahead of his adversaries, but this time there’s nowhere to hide.”

My Thoughts:

I haven’t read a John Grisham book in a while.  I was intrigued when I saw this book in the bookstore and found out it was a sequel to The Firm.  If you remember the Firm, then you know that some sort of adventure would be involved.  I loved how the author ensured that we knew what happened to the McDeeres after the end of The Firm.  I thought it was interesting how the author included the McDeeres in the main plot of the kidnapping.  I had hoped there would be more action.   Maybe John Grisham will consider a team-up between the McDeeres and Darby Shaw? What are your thoughts?
