You Never Know What Might Happen!

Saving Saffron Sweeting by Pauline Wiles is a great story to share.  You never know

what opportunity might come your way.   She has a witty story to share. 

Synopsis:

Grace is excited that she finally has a job for her interior design business, in the USA.  This job is decorating the bedroom of her husband’s colleague.  The only problem is this colleague has designs on Grace’s husband.   She is led to believe that they had an affair.  So back to England she goes but where to wallow? Jenna her best friend one night settles on Saffron Sweeting.  All of the sudden she finds herself with a job at an estate agency.  Grace suddenly has great opportunities that she would never have dreamed of.  Will Grace be ready?  Will her husband find her?

My Thoughts:

Saving Saffron Sweeting is a charming story full opportunity and humor.  What event might lead you to change your life?  Some of the circumstances that Grace has to deal with brings are heart breaking.  Many could identify with her circumstances. This novel might appeal to who are down on their luck especially in the job market.    This particular novel reminds me of when I was struggling with finding a job and a piece of advice my father would give me.  I feel that he and Emelia would be on the same page.  You never know what might happen? 

The story revolves around both California in the United States and England.  More specifically the village of Saffron Sweeting.  I love how the author brought in the historical significance of the village.   

The only negative for me was at times the narration of the audiobook.  Overall I enjoyed the book and would highly recommend!
