J'adore New York Finds a Home at Writer's Corner


Isabelle Lafleche is stopping by Writer’s Corner to share her new book, and this book is the perfect debut book.  Thank you Bookspark PR for sending this book for review.  I am excited to share this book with you. I know that you will enjoy this book as much as I have.

Synopsis:

Catherine Lambert has recently transferred from the Paris office to the New York office of Edwards and Whites. She will be working in the corporate division.  The dynamics of the new office create a different work environment than what Catherine was used to in Paris.  She jumps into work at the New York office working with various partners.  The workload is heavy and doesn’t leave much time for one of Catherine’s favorite down time activities.   She loves high fashion and visiting the designer shops in New York.  Will she survive the office life in New York?  Will Catherine be able to make time for her favorite hobby?
 
My Thoughts:

I loved this book!  The Devil Wears Prada meets the lawyer world.  My two favorite subjects in books are high fashion and a high powered career.  The character of Catherine is a likable character and one that the reader will come to love.   Her superiors in the book left me wondering if lawyers are truly like this in the real world?  Some of the other characters in the book will keep you guessing as to where their loyalties lie.
